Employer Nomination Scheme (SC 186)

Permanent Visa – ENS Sub Class 186 Visa

This is a Permanent resident visa, available for skilled workers, nominated by an Australian Employer to work in Australia.

There are two stages in this application process

  1. Stage 1 – Employer applies for Nomination application
    • Lawfully operating business in Australia
    • Having a genuine need for a skilled worker who cannot be recruited locally.
    • Full-time ongoing position for at least 2 years
    • Market Salary rate offered to the employee
    • Meet all Australian immigration and workplace relations law
  2. Stage 2 – Employee applies for a SC 186 Visa
    This visa can be applied under one of the two streams:
    • Temporary residence Transition Stream, or
    • Direct Entry Stream

Current Visa

A SC 482 (TSS) visa holder having worked with the nominating employer for at least 3 years at the time of application.

A SC 457 visa holder who has worked with the nominating employer for at least 2 years at the time of application.

Holder of any visa in Australia or an overseas worker with no visa.

Generally not required.

3 Years work experience.

At least 3 years work experience
